2020 in Review:
Republican Women of Central Iowa Annual Meeting was held October 1, 2020.  Women for Trump, Ernst, and Feenstra campaigns, Story County Supervisor candidates Steve O’Rourke and John Henry spoke. Campaign literature was shared including vibrant red, white and blue Trump/Pence yard signs with each member. Our meeting was held at the Boone County Republicans office and we gratefully thank them for sharing their space!
The 20th Annual Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition Fall Dinner and Rally was held in Des Moines on Saturday, Sept. 19, featuring former U.S. Congressman Jason Chaffetz and Senator Joni Ernst. This is a key political event in Central Iowa! Proceeds help IFFC inform voters on critical issues foundational to Republican victories across our state.   RWCI filled a table again this year!
Matthew Whitaker joined RWCI in May 2020 to launch his new book, Above The Law: The Inside Story of How the Justice Department Tried to Subvert President Trump in May 2020 via a zoom event. RWCI members heard more about his experience as Acting Attorney General in the Trump Administration and were able to ask him questions about the current state of American leadership.

We endeavor to offer morning coffees, lunches and dinner events to accommodate various schedules of members. We are open to suggestions!
Book Suggestions:
Written Out of History: The Forgotten Founders Who Fought Big
Government  By Senator Mike Lee
The popular movement that swept Republicans into power in 2010 and
2016 was led by Americans who rediscovered the majesty of the Constitution
and knew the stories of Hamilton, Madison, and Washington. But we should
also know the names of the contrarians who argued against them and who have
been written out of history. If we knew of the heroic fights of these lost
founders, we’d never have ended up with a government too big, too powerful,
and too unresponsive to its citizens. The good news is that it’s not too
late to remember and to return to our first principles. Restoring the memory
of these lost individuals will strike a crippling blow against big
government.
Jesus Politics by Phil Robertson – This book has great reviews from the men in our group!
Better Angels by Sadie Keller & Michael McCaul This book will be a statewide zoom book club in early December. Please join RWCI for full details. The authors will read selections of their book and answer questions. Book is available on amazon and all proceeds benefit childhood cancer research. Sadie is a 13 year old who beat cancer.
