History of RWCI

In 2017, Republican Women of Central Iowa (RWCI) began to counter the prevailing media misconception that conservative causes hurt women. To the contrary, the conservative principles which form the foundation of American culture provide an environment where all people flourish, including women.

RWCI strengthens the Republican Party by connecting conservatives in regular, casual social events; it encourages and promotes conservative men and women in their pursuit of local political offices; and supports conservative students on our college campuses, even unapologetically making them a home-cooked dinner from time to time.

The yearly RWCI calendar includes:

  • Coffee & Conversations monthly

  • One major event where a renowned speaker presents a timely topic

  • Support for local candidates by attending debates and campaign events

  • RWCI is a club member of the state & national Federation of Republican Women

Our membership includes both men and women and we provide events, information, and a quarterly newsletter to bring members together.
